Matt attended this show last year and said he and Katie had a blast! Might be a fun end of the year VW show to go to. October 11 &12, 2008 - Slowriders Slam! & Slumber Party Street, Maryland FREE!!! Air cooled only show. FREE Swap. FREE Camping, bonfire & band Saturday, October 11th. Large grassy showfield. Good food (bring $). Unique hand made trophies. Modified valve cover races. Hotwheels races for the kids (bring your own). Raffles. 15 show classes plus best of classes More info to come. OK, whos going to do another camping trip/car show with me? You don't want to miss the last getaway of the summer.
I will be leaving the Acme Parking in Clayton (RT-47 & High St.) at 12 Noon on Sat. 11th. Will be taking RT40 at the 40-13 split in DE. Should get to the split around 1pm if any one wants to meet up there.
Should be another great time.

What I liked about this show, was it was on the small side, which to me means, you really have time to talk to the people around you and get to really know them! It is a gothic vw club, which is a little strange, but they were real nice. Some guy was going around and working on cars for free, sort of like I had with my linkpins in this last trip   The show had a peaceful easy-going feeling about it. When we were leaving, we all said we DEFINTELY want to come back!! The food they served looked REALLY GOOD ( I brought my own, but they gave Ted a sample & he said it was deleicious) And as John said it is FREE! Too cold to camp? Bah, John! Situations like this make memories! Be there or be squar....oh never mind.... Nice field, should be good for camping. We need a jack and jackstands this time............ Matt |
